Salary Range: 208,000 – 312,000 PLN gross/year

Our client is building a specialized data platform team focused on enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and enterprise-scale insights across a modern, cloud-native data ecosystem. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who combines strong software engineering principles with deep expertise in data platforms and lakehouse architectures.

You'll design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms leveraging Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Iceberg, supporting large-scale analytics while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and governance. Your Role

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark
• Build and maintain lakehouse architectures with Delta Lake and Iceberg
• Enable analytics and reporting through dbt, curated data models, and self-service datasets
• Integrate and optimize data warehousing solutions such as Databricks and Snowflake
• Apply software engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and IaC
• Implement data governance, lineage, quality, and compliance frameworks

• Optimize performance, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python and SQL

• Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark

• Experience with Delta Lake and/or Apache Iceberg

• Familiarity with dbt, Databricks, and Snowflake

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure-as-code

• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and compliance

• Exposure to event-driven architectures and advanced analytics platforms

• Experience with Java, Scala, or Rust is a plus
